Xianyang airport catches fire

The control tower of Xianyang Airport in northwest China's Shaanxi Province caught fire this morning, causing some flights to be cancelled, the provincial news website Hsw.cn reports.

Airport staff confirmed that the control tower burst into flames. Firefighters arrived at the scene to conduct rescue operations.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
