Chinese police on Friday detained a man suspected of killing a family of five in the northern province of Shanxi.
Feng Jiangang, 32, was captured Friday morning in a discarded brick kiln in Tunliu County of Changzhi City, according to the city's public security bureau.
Feng confessed to hacking Zhao Yunfei, deputy head of the villagers' committee of Chapeng Village, Zhao's wife and their three children to death early Thursday morning.
Feng, a native of Chapeng, said he fought with Zhao over a feud between the two families on Wednesday. Feng intruded in Zhao's house at about 1 a.m. Thursday and killed the five aged between nine to 37 in revenge.
Police received a report soon after the killing spree and offered a reward of 50,000 yuan for the hunting of the suspect.
Police are making investigation in the case.
