Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu stressed further implementation of disaster relief measures when he visited the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which was severely hit by blizzard, from Friday to Sunday.
Hui urged to ensure sufficient supply of living necessities to guarantee people's life and work, and reduce losses caused by the extreme winter weather over the past month.
Efforts should be made to ensure smooth transportation and distribution of supplies, and vegetable prices should be controlled at a stable level, Hui said.
Hui also called for improved measures against ice jam flood in the Yellow River as the water level in the second longest waterway in China this year is the highest in historical record.
