China's travel authorities reported a big rise in tourist arrivals at scenic spots around the country on Saturday, the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival.
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival overlapped with the country's National Day holiday, and people could have eight days for holiday.
The 119 sightseeing spots monitored by the country's travel authorities reported 3.47 million tourist arrivals Saturday as of 6 pm, up 17.76 percent compared with the previous day, and 0.28 percent year on year, according to the coordination office for national holiday tourism under the National Tourism Administration.
