Ting Bateer, Vice-Chairman, CPPCC in Abaga Banner, Inner Mongolia.

Ting Bateer, Vice-Chairman, CPPCC in Abaga Banner, Inner Mongolia, said, "As a Party Secretary in a community Party branch, I think there are three important ways of enhancing the cohesion between the Party and the people. First, we need to keep in mind the interest of the general public. Second, the Party members need to set an example in their work. Finally, Party members need to be models of integrity. In our village, the village affairs are public and transparent to the villagers. If any villager has suspicions on the allocation of the budget, they can feel free to come and look at the accounts. In this way we build trust. "

Wang Xi, Director, Shanghai Inst. Of Microsystem & Inf. Tech, CAS, said, "My institute has a large number of intellectuals who are students returned from overseas. They have diversified values. We didn't force them to join the Party, but we told them the CPC needs professional people. We also inform them about the future development of China. Now 40% of experts in our institute are Party members. In this way, we have ensured that the Communist Party of China also has a high number of scientists and experts."
