The main concept of the mass line is: Doing everything for the masses, relying on them in every task, carrying out the principle of "from the masses, to the masses".

According to the Party Constitution, the biggest political advantage of the Party lies in its close ties with the masses while the biggest potential danger for it as a governing party comes from its divorce from them.

The mass line is a fundamental policy CPC introduced before 1949, when Party members were encouraged to build their ties with grassroots people, reflect on their own practices and correct any misbehavior.
