As of now, photos of 53 government cars have been posted on the platform for illegal parking, private use and overloading. However, only two work units have responded to the issue, according to Dongfang Daily.

Initiator of the campaign, A Ming (assumed name), explained that the local government exerted stricter punishment on illegal parking and wrote over 26,000 tickets in just one month. But he noticed many police cars and city management cars parking and driving illegally.

Many netizens praise the campaign. They believe that, if more citizens can criticize the government, more people will have a stronger awareness of their own rights, urging public supervision and for the government to rule by law. Though only two exposed work units responded indirectly to the issue, the Weibo platform has already won a great deal of support.

As of August, Wenzhou had 410,000 cars but only 125,000 parking spaces, which lags far behind the demand-supply standard.
