Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has decided it will start on Aug. 9 to recall 421 imported Civilian passenger buses sold on the Chinese mainland, China's quality watchdog said Friday.
Those imported Civilian buses sold on the Chinese mainland were made between March 1, 2004 and Feb. 9, 2009, said a statement on the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).
The defects are mainly caused by design problems that may lead to friction between the fuel pipe and gear shift. Though the friction will not cause fuel leakages, the designs fail to meet China's compulsory standards, said the statement.
The manufacturer will check and replace the flawed parts to tackle the problems.
Owners can contact Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd. on a hotline number, 010-8529-8787, or contact the AQSIQ.
