Adjust font size:

A brand-new liquor of "mixed blood" under research and development by the world's largest hard liquor group Diageo and the Chinese white liquor workshop Swellfun is expected to go on the market 15 months after the news regarding the joint venture of the two groups was reported.

The liquor is said to compete with Chivas Whisky, a brand under Pernod Ricard, a long-standing rival of Diageo. Chivas Whisky has generated miraculous sales in China.

The R&D of the liquor was first unveiled inside Swellfun's business achievement report published recently. The report pointed out that Swellfun was going to further explore the 1980's consumer market.

The first product of the two groups is a kind of liquor suitable for drinking at night entertainment venues, sources from the Diageo and Swellfun said.
