China & Microsoft Sign Source Code Agreement

On August 2, the China Information Technology Security Certification Center (CNITSEC) signed the Government Security Program Source Code Agreement with software giant Microsoft. According to the agreement, CNITSEC and other related organizations can now freely access the source codes and other technical specifications for Microsoft products and platforms including Windows Vista, as the government aims to gain increased confidence in the security of Microsoft products.
