South Korean President Lee Myung-bak will appear on global news channels during his stay in Switzerland to attend the Geneva-based global economic forum, local media reported Tuesday citing presidential aides.
Britain's public broadcaster BBC will conduct an in-depth interview with Lee, who heads to Switzerland later this month to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF), better known as Davos Forum in South Korea, where he is expected to discuss the country's effort for economic recovery and relations with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Seoul's Yonhap News Agency said.
The United States-based global cable news channel CNN will also interview the president, while the channel also plans to shoot a special documentary on Lee, Yonhap said.
At the forum, the president is expected to deliver a speech titled "Seoul G-20: Summit Priorities and Challenges," in which he would lay out prospects of the upcoming summit to which it plays host, according to Yonhap.
