From Copenhagen to Boao, "green" has always been the most frequently mentioned word.
Vice-President Xi Jinping says Asia has been severely hit by the global economic downturn. But he says it is now leading the world ride out of the crisis.
Xi Jinping said, "The financial crisis has inspired us in the belief that if Asia wants to keep the sound growth, and keep on driving the development of the world economy, we must pay more attention to perfecting our development patten, follow our own way of developing a greener and sustainable Asia."
Xi Jinping says China's determination to fight climate change is active, and the country will spare no effort in achieving it. He noted that fighting climate change will benefit the whole planet, and each nation has the responsibility to do it.
