On June 27, 2012, Mr. Zhou Wenzhong, Secretary General of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), announced in Beijing that in positive response to Chairman Mr. Yasuo Fukuda’s invitation, the BFA Board Members have agreed to hold a BFA Sino-Japanese Entrepreneurial Forum in Yokohama, Japan on July 5 and 6.
Vice Chairman Zeng Peiyan, the former Chinese vice premier, will lead the delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs.
A large number of Chinese and Japanese business leaders have been invited to hold discussions and exchange views on the forum’s main theme of “Sino-Japanese financial and commercial transformation against a new backdrop”.
Other topics are set to include the “Review and forecast on Sino-Japanese trade and investment relationship”, “Asia regional economic consolidation and the role of Sino-Japanese enterprises”, “Cooperation regarding Resources, Energy and Innovation” and “Sino-Japanese Mergers and Acquisitions”.
The conference will coincide with the 40th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese relations. The forum means a great deal in terms of strengthening the economic and financial cooperation between China and Japan. The BFA would like to provide a platform to fortify bilateral exchanges in order to facilitate regional cooperation.
