Nokia North America president Chris Weber has called the interface and app-based platforms of Android and iOS "outdated," saying Nokia's new "superphone" will offer a better interface and a cloud-based user experience, Sina Tech reported.

Although Apple's iPhone set the standard for a modern user interface with its "pinch and zoom" technology, it limits users by requiring them to download multiple applications and navigate among them, Weber said in an interview Wednesday.

Looking to drumming up new excitement for the struggling company's new line of cell phones, Weber said Nokia will provide users a seamless and effective interface with "live tiles and hubs" made possible by the Windows Mobile operating system.

The remarks came shortly after Nokia announced it is terminating its Symbian operating system in North America and will not release its Meego operating system-based N9 smartphone in the US.

Weber compared his efforts to consolidate Nokia's operations in the U.S. to running a start-up. Since Weber joined Nokia in February, he has replaced 80 percent of his leadership team. Ten or 11 new executives now report directly to him.

Before joining Nokia, Weber led Microsoft's enterprise sales team.

韦伯表示其强化诺基亚美国业务的任务无异于运营创业公司。自2月加盟以来，韦伯已更换其团队中80%的人。目前14个人的领导团队中有“10-11个新高管直接向韦伯汇报”。

韦伯去年12 月从微软离职，当时负责微软的企业销售业务。
