Led by coal stocks, Chinese shares rebounded more than 1 percent on Tuesday, snapping a losing streak of eight consecutive trading days.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went up 1.37 percent, or 37.11 points, to 2,743.47.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.63 percent, or 186.93 points, to 11,665.14.
