Wuliangye Group, one of the China's top three high-end liquor producers, said Tuesday that its net income in the first half of this year rose 40.91 percent year-on-year to 2.26 billion yuan.
Total revenue in the period jumped to 7.58 billion yuan, up 41.86 percent from a year earlier, while operating profits increased by 44.17 percent, with earnings per share standing at 0.596 yuan, up 40.90 percent year-on-year, the company said in its interim report.
The company attributed the net profit surge to the optimization of its product structure and the continuing rise of high- and middle-priced products sales.
