Chinese shares open slightly lower Wednesday

China's stocks were slightly lower at the opening Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.46 percent to open at 3,120.44.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.41 percent to open at 13,657.43.
