Chinese shares open mixed Wednesday

China's stocks were mixed at the opening Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.05 percent to open at 3,044.02.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.02 percent to open at 13,649.75.
