The Chinese economy will continue to grow by about 9 percent annually for the next five to 10 years, said Li Daokui, a member of the central bank's monetary policy committee and professor at Tsinghua University, on Wednesday.
Urbanization, rising consumption and greener capacity will be the major drivers for China's robust economic growth, Li said. China will witness some fundamental changes in its economic structure, including a significant increase in domestic consumption, innovative reform in its income distribution and housing system, and substantive and strategic progress in energy conservation and emissions reduction.
