China said Monday it would impose anti-dumping duties on certain iron or steel fasteners imported from the European Union (EU) beginning Tuesday.
"China decided to impose anti-dumping duties ranging from 6.1 percent to 26 percent on imports of certain iron or steel fasteners from the EU," said a statement on the official website of the Ministry of Commerce.
The MOC said China's domestic industry of manufacturing certain iron or steel fasteners had suffered substantial damages caused by the EU's dumping of these products in Chinese domestic markets.
The tariffs would last for a period of five years, according to the statement.
