Chinese shares open lower on Friday, April 23

Chinese equities opened lower Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.13 percent, to open at 2,995.57 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 0.19 percent to 11,681.97 points.
