Chinese shares open flat Tuesday

Chinese equities opened almost flat on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.03 point to open at 3,123.83 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.18 percent to 12,574.81 points.
