Shanghai Jahwa net profit up 26 pct in 2009

Shanghai Jahwa United Co., Ltd, a leading producer of cosmetics and personal care products, Thursday said its net profit rose 26.07 percent to 233 million yuan (34.11 million U.S. dollars) in 2009 from the previous year.
Business revenue expanded 8.17 percent year on year to 2.70 billion yuan in 2009, said the company in a statement filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Earnings per share was 0.72 yuan, down 16.28 percent year on year.
Shares of Shanghai Jahwa rose 0.33 percent to 33.79 yuan Thursday, before the release of its annual earnings.
