Chinese shares slid on Friday after rising for two consecutive days and hitting a one-month high Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.28 percent.
The index lost 8.68 points to close at 3,051.94 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 0.46 percent, or 57.61 points, to finish at 12,436.66 points.
Combined turnover Friday was down to 213.85 billion yuan (31.3 billion U.S. dollars), from 239.9 billion yuan on Thursday.
