Zhu Min, formerly vice president of the Bank of China (BOC), one of the country's top four lenders, has been appointed deputy governor of the People's Bank of China (PBOC), the central bank.
His name and resume appeared in the PBOC's management team list on the bank's official website Thursday.
When contacted by Xinhua Thursday, Zhu said he would exert himself to contribute to the country and the society.
Zhu has resigned from BOC for job change, according to a BOC statement on Monday.
