Taiwan stocks end 1.35 pct higher

Taiwan stocks rose 1.35 percent to close at 6,667.53 on Thursday, according to information reaching here from Taipei.

The weighted index went up 88.56 points after trading between 6, 686.70 and 6,600.91 on a turnover of 138.32 billion New Taiwan dollars (4.21 billion U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered losers 1,831 to 514, while 115 shares remained unchanged.
