Aeromart, a major event in the global aerospace market, is to be held in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin on April 20-24, the local government said Tuesday.
A total of 118 international companies including Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier, and about 170 Chinese corporations including China Aviation Industry Corporation are expected to attend the convention, the information office of the Tianjin municipal government said.
The aim of the event is to allow firms from the aviation sector to set up new business, technical and trading partnership in the Tianjin Binhai New Area and the Chinese market, generally.
The first Aeromart was held in France in 1996. In 2007, the Aeromart was held in Beijing of China and attracted about 200 international companies.
Tianjin Binhai New Area is the new economic zone of the port city of Tianjin. It is devoted specially to aviation and new technology, boasting 45 major aviation companies and component and parts producers.
Airbus set up an A320 final assembly line in the zone in September last year with a total estimated investment of 8 billion to 10 billion yuan (1.17 to 1.47 billion U.S. dollars).
