China, the world's largest producer of zinc, will discuss buying the metal from domestic smelters today for the second time this year, three company executives familiar with the plan said.

Zhuzhou Smelter Group Co, China's biggest zinc producer, Huludao Zinc Industry Co, the second-largest, and rivals will attend the Beijing meeting held by the State Reserve Bureau, the people said, asking not to be identified because the plan is confidential. The bureau may seek to buy 100,000 tons, one executive said.
