Yunnan Aluminium Co, China's fifth-largest producer of the light metal, said profit probably dropped as much as 55 percent in the first nine months of this year on falling prices and higher power costs.

Net income was 445.4 million yuan (US$65 million) in the same period a year ago, it said.
