Air China to open Beijing-Pyongyang route at end-March

Air China will open a Beijing to Pyongyang route on March 31 after months of delays, the airline announced on Tuesday.

The route will use Boeing 737 aircraft. Flight CA121 will leave Beijing at 13:40 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and arrive in Pyongyang at 16:20 local time. The return flight, CA122, will leave Pyongyang at 17:20 local time and arrive at Beijing at 18:05.

Air China originally planned to launch the new route on Jan. 2 but had to postpone the start of services for operational reasons, the carrier said without elaborating.
