China has a good policy on food safety including surveys of its
food safety supervision which will result in more efficient control
over food safety, a senior quality control official said here on
Friday.
The Chinese government pays great attention to addressing flaws
in product quality, especially the quality of food products, said
Li Changjiang, minister in charge of the General Administration of
Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), at a press
conference.
In China, several central government departments are involved in
quality control, including the AQSIQ, the State Administration for
Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of
Health and the State Food and Drug Administration.
