Chinese abroad, A Chinese-English Dictionary of Classic and

Press.
The new dictionary is a masterpiece by Zhang Changren
(1911-2003), formerly a veteran scholar of the Beijing Research
Institute of Culture and History, who devoted himself to the
publication for 38 years.
The dictionary includes nearly 50,000 entries in both

four-character phrases (chengyu), ancient couplets,
proverbs and contemporary expressions in culture, politics, economy
and art. It is also of great help for English learners in
China.
