The Chinese edition of biography of Steve Jobs was released Monday, at 10:05 am, Beijing time to pay tribute to the Apple Inc co-founder who died on October 5, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Steve Jobs: the Biography, the only authorized biography for the former CEO of Apple Inc, was written by famous Pulitzer Prize nominee Walter Isaacson.

Isaacson has visited more than a hundred of Jobs' relatives, as well as his friends and rivals in business circles. Though some words indeed enraged Jobs, he never intervened in Isaacson's work or demand to read the whole book before it was published.

Having lived a private, almost ascetic life, Steve Jobs always kept quite a low profile in the public eye. But when he got a liver transplant operation in 2009, he decided to invite Isaacson to write a tell-all biography to let his children get to know him.

"I wasn't always there for them, and I wanted them to know why and to understand what I did," Jobs told Isaacson in their final interview at Jobs' home in Palo Alto, California.

The Chinese version of Jobs biography is available in major online bookshops and 30 bookstores.
