Harry Potter fans were able to take a close look at the original artifacts that appeared throughout the Harry Potter films at an exhibition opened on Tuesday at New York's Discovery Times Square.
"Harry Potter: The Exhibition", offers fans a firsthand view of hundreds of authentic artifacts displayed in elaborate settings inspired by the film sets. Visitors can experience locations in the films including Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Gryffindor common room, Hagrid's hut and the Great Hall.
"New York is the perfect location for our last stop in North America," said Brad Globe, president of Warner Bros. Consumer Products in a statement. "We think fans will be thrilled to have one more opportunity to experience the magic of this incredible exhibition."
"I read all the books and saw all the movies of Harry Potter. The exhibition is just like being in the show. It's a lot of fun, a Harry Potter fan named Alison Lawless told Xinhua.
The exhibition will run through Sept. 5, 2011. It began its tour in 2009, stopping in Chicago, Boston, Toronto, and Seattle.
