Barbie Hsu, Richie Ren promote new comedy

Barbie Hsu and Richie Ren joined director Chung Shu-Kai at a promotion for their film "Long Feng Dian" in Guangzhou on Thursday, August 12, one week prior to its release, Sina.com.cn reports.
"I think 'Long Feng Dian' will be the funniest romantic comedy of the past decade," director Chung was quoted as saying.
The film was inspired by the classic Chinese play "You Long Xi Feng". Richie Ren plays an emperor who falls in love with a beautiful but sassy restaurant owner played by Barbie Hsu.
Parodies of such popular films as "The Message" ("Feng Sheng"), "God of Gamblers" ("Du Shen") and "The Eagle Shooting Heroes" ("Dong Cheng Xi Jiu") have been publicized as the selling points of the film.
The film is supported by an all-star line-up that includes Huang Xiaoming, Zhou Libo, Huo Siyan, Law Kar-Ying and Leung Siu-Lung.
The film's theatrical release is set for August 19.
