Helmed by award-winning director Ann Hui, the romantic comedy is about the reunion of two Hong Kong women who had shared a lesbian relationship ten years earlier.
Chow explains why she has chosen this film for her return to the big screen after a thirteen-year absence.
"The film is just about ordinary female love, and about commitment... The main thing is the love and commitment of lovers. And that's our selling point."
Sandra Ng, the other lead actress, says when taking on her role, she was very sensitive about personal hygiene as she did not want to put off her on-screen lover.
"When we were shooting kissing and intimate scenes, she was actually pretty relaxed. I was frequently brushing my teeth so I wouldn't have bad breath. I really wouldn't want my 'other half' to be disgusted with me so I prepared myself the best I could."
Also showing at the premiere was director Hui. She says it is her hope that after watching this film, people will be a bit more open-minded about homosexuality.
"All about Love" is scheduled to hit movie theaters in late August.
