Wong recalled that the company simply grew out of the common interest of a group of alternative musicians, to experiment with new ways of making new music. "I never imaged the company would grow this big and have signed so many singers," he said.
Despite being PMPS' founder and director, Wong admitted that he has never held clear and concrete plans for the company's future development. "We are still exploring and experimenting, so there should not be too many plans."
Wong added that he would like to expand his cooperation with more people in China. "There are many mainland musicians that I like, but there were few opportunities for us to communicate," he said regretfully, adding that after furthering communication and realizing mutual music tastes, cooperation could be possible.
Wong has never officially come out as being gay, but he is constantly referred to as one of Hong Kong's quintessential gay icons and is reported to have a long-term foreign male partner. He proudly said at the end of the interview that he is not just an advent for his music, but also for his concepts of sexuality.
Wong openly acknowledges his partner, although makes no reference to gender, saying that not being legally married does not mean he does not have a family. "A family is not built on the foundation of marriage," he smiled.
