After a year's silence since being caught taking drugs last year, Chinese pop singer Man Wenjun has announced that he will do a comeback show at the Beijing Pop Music Festival on May 3, Sina.com.cn reports.
Man Wenjun made the announcement after his wife, Li Li, was released early due to good behavior in jail. When interviewed, Man made several apologies to his fans and the media and also expressed great regret for his mistakes.
On May 18, 2009, Man Wenjun, along with his wife and several other friends, were caught taking drugs at a nightclub during his wife's birthday party. The incident severely damaged his reputation and resulted in great economic losses to his entertainment company.
When asked about the future, Man said he is happy that his family is together again and he will devote himself to singing and charity work. As for his wife, she will take good care of their children and be a qualified mother.
