Chinese director Zhang Yimou shares the cover of the latest issue of "Harper's Bazaar Men's Style" with his producer, Zhang Weiping.
For many around the world, Zhang's name is synonymous with Chinese cinema. But for Chinese movie industry insiders, a "Zhang Yimou production" always refers to producer Zhang Weiping.

The two Zhangs met each other 20 years ago. Their collaboration began in 1997 when they worked together on the comedy film "You Hua Hao Hao Shuo" ("Keep Cool"), and they have remained partners to this day.
Zhang Weiping founded the Beijing New Picture Film Co. in 1997, which has focused on producing Zhang Yimou's films, including "Hero," "Curses of the Golden Flower," and his latest film, "A Simple Noodle Story."
The magazine cover story, entitled "Hero against Hero -- Fortune and Movie," describes the perfect cooperation of the two longtime partners.
"One of them is a dreamer, the other is a manager; one is a spokesman of Chinese culture, the other a business talent," the article says.
