Over 1 million people have participated the Universiade Internet relay until Sunday, according to the data from Tencent, the operator of the internet torch relay.

A total of 100 torchbearers run the Universiade torch relay through three Universities in Guangzhou on Sunday, completing the physical relay in campuses.

While the Internet relay will continue its trip to light more than 700 universities around China, making all university students from China available for the torch of the Universiade.

The Internet torch relay starts its journey from Shenzhen on May 10, since then the virtue torch has been passed one by one via a social network web site Pengyou.com that runs by an Internet giant Tencent, one of the world biggest Internet companies.

The Shenzhen Universiade will be held from Aug. 12-23, attracting over 10,000 university students from all over the world.
