Lin Shusen reelected governor of Guizhou

Lin Shusen was re-elected governor of Guizhou Province and Shi Zongyuan as top provincial legislator on Thursday at a session of the provincial legislature.

Lin, born in 1946 in Guangdong Province, has been the provincial governor since January 2007. He was previously mayor of Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province.

Shi Zongyuan, also chief of the Communist Party of China Guizhou Committee, was re-elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, the provincial legislative body, at the first session of the 11th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress.

Born in 1946 in north China's Hebei Province, Shi was elected as the provincial Party chief in February 2007. Before coming to Guizhou, Shi was chief of the country's press and publication administration.
