Cold Air to Cause Sharp Temperature Drop in N. China
Adjust font size:

Cold air moving southward will bring low temperatures and strong winds to northern China over the next three days, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) forecast on Sunday.

Temperature drop will range from four to eight degrees Celsius in most parts of north and northeast China and to more than 12 degrees Celsius in some regions.

Meanwhile, fresh to strong breeze is expected to sweep these areas, including the sea areas.

Moderate to heavy rain is to develop in southwest China, as well as areas along the Yangtze valley from Feb. 12 through 14.

Fog will blanket parts of Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Fujian, Zhejiang, Hunan and Hubei, with the visibility ranging from 100 to 600 meters. Haze is set to develop in parts of South China.
