Northwest China: January 15 to 16, southeastern
parts will be overcast with light snow. January 20 to 21, affected
by streams of cold air, western and northern Xinjiang and some
eastern parts of the region will be overcast with light snow. Some
areas will have moderate to heavy snowfall accompanied by force 4
to 6 northerly winds and low temperatures. During the remainder of
the week most parts of the region will be dominated by sunny to
cloudy skies without significant temperature change.
North China: During the week most of the region
will be mainly sunny to cloudy with little temperature change.
January 15 to 17, most parts will blow force 4 to 5 northerly
winds. January 20, some of northernmost and eastern parts will have
overcast skies with light snow and force 4 northerly winds.
Northeast China: During the first half of the week
most parts will be mainly sunny to cloudy without big changes in
temperature. January 16 to 18, the majority of the region will have
force 4 to 5 northerly winds. January 20 to 21, some of easternmost
and southern parts will be overcast with light to moderate snow
accompanied by force 4 southerly or northerly winds.
Central China: In the first half of the week
middle and southern areas will have overcast and wet days with
colder weather while northern parts will be dominated by cloudy
skies. January 20 to 21, northern areas will become overcast while
middle and southern parts will be cloudy to overcast with light
rainfall in some places.
East China: During the early part of the week
middle and southern areas will have frequent overcast and rainy
days with low temperatures. Northern areas will be under sunny to
cloudy skies with little temperature change. January 20 to 21, some
northern parts will be overcast with light snowfall while middle
and southern areas will be cloudy to overcast with light rain
expected in some areas.
South China: In the first half of the week western
and northern areas will see more overcast and rainy weather with
low temperatures while remaining parts will be dominated by cloudy
skies with rain in some areas. January 20 to 21, western parts will
receive light rainfall while the remainder will be cloudy with
light rain in some places.
Southwest China: During the week eastern Tibet,
middle and eastern Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou will experience
continuous overcast and rainy or snowy days with cold weather. In
parts of Guizhou Province hailstones will fall. Early in the week
Yunnan Province will be dominated by cloudy skies and some areas
will be overcast with light rainfall. During the latter part of the
week most of Yunnan Province will be overcast with possible light
rain.
