SW China Traffic Accident Kills 14

The death toll from a minibus that plunged over a cliff in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on Friday has risen to 14, local government sources said Saturday.

 

The accident occurred at around 6:00 PM when the 29-seat vehicle carrying 22 passengers went over a 100-meter cliff in Baitu Township, Wanzhou District, killing ten passengers at the scene and injuring 12.

 

Four of the injured died in hospital on Saturday. Eight people are still being treated.

 

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
