A boat registered in South Korea had engine failure in east
China's Bohai Sea on Sunday morning but all twelve sailors,
including one Chinese, were rescued, according to local
authorities.
The boat's engine failed early yesterday morning near Longkou City
in Shandong Province, according to the Ministry of Communications'
Yantai Maritime Affairs Bureau.
The bureau dispatched two vessels and a helicopter immediately
after receiving signals for help at 7:05 AM.
Due to strong gales, one of the rescue vessels was forced to return
to harbor and the helicopter failed to take off.
The other rescue vessel braved waves to reach the scene at 1:30 PM,
the bureau said.
