Six children were killed on Sunday by the collapsing arch of a
gateway in a rural household in Fengcheng City, east China's
Jiangxi Province, according to local sources.
The tragedy took place in Changtang Village, Tongtian Township
when the children were playing on the arch of a gateway in a
farmer's courtyard, according to sources from the city's education
bureau.
The old arch fell suddenly and killed all six children playing
on it.
The authorities and families of the dead are dealing with the
aftermath of the tragedy and compensation work was described as
underway.
