Forty-one Injured in Ship Collision

Forty-one people were injured in a ship collision near a wharf in Kaohsiung, in the south of Taiwan Province, at about 8:45 PM on Tuesday.

 

According to news reaching Hong Kong from Taipei, a ferry carrying over 100 passengers was hit end to end by a cargo ship when it reached the wharf.

 

Those injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, and none were fatally injured.

 

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
