Roads Now Young Students' Biggest Killer
Adjust font size:

Traffic accidents became the No.1 cause of death for primary and middle school students in China last year, killing 4,423 and injuring 20,917, according to official sources.

The reminder came on the 10th National Safety Education Day for primary and middle school students, which falls on the last Monday of March.

The ministries of education and public security, as well as other government departments, launched an education drive Sunday to reinforce awareness of traffic rules and accident prevention amongst students, handing out leaflets and handbooks.
