China Delays Anti-dumping Measures on Imported Steel
Adjust font size:
China postponed temporary anti-dumping measures against cold rolled steel products imported from Russia, the Republic of Korea, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and China's Taiwan Province, according to a bulletin issued by the Ministry of Commerce Tuesday.

The ministry published the primary judgment on the case Tuesday, saying dumping existed in the sale of such products in China and this caused substantial damage to related Chinese industries.

But due to special market conditions, the bulletin said, the ministry decided to postpone the temporary anti-dumping measures while investigations would continue until the final judgment was made.

The temporary anti-dumping measures would be resumed if necessary, the bulletin said.

The case was initiated on March 23, 2002, by the former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation which was replaced by the Ministry of Commerce this year.
