Adjust font size:
Fourteen Nobel prize winners and more than over one hundred other famous Chinese and foreign scientists attended a seminar held in Tsinghua University Monday.

Scientists at the International Symposium on Frontiers of Science discussed the latest achievements in such fields as genetics and Aids.

President of Tsinghua University Wang Dazhong said Tsinghua should look up to the world's top universities for their original research and achievements in the frontiers of science.

Nobel prize winner Chen Ning Yang said it is important for a Chinese college or university to exchange ideas with world-famous scholars in order to upgrade their teaching and research standards.

In an effort to turn Tsinghua into one of the world's first-rate universities, its Institute of Economics and Management in late April invited 28 respected and highly paid overseas academics as its guest professors.
